New Partnership Team Line Up
You will all be aware that the end of August 2018, saw Dr John King retire from Clark Avenue Surgery. In September 2018, Dr Alison Whyte joined Dr Gareth Oelmann and Dr Bryan Hughes in Partnership. In January 2019, Dr Michael Carnell also became a Partner. Both Dr Whyte and Carnell were both trainees at the surgery prior to becoming salaried members of the team. Welcome to the Partnership team!!
Updates to our phone system
Twelve months ago we installed a new phone system to help deal with the increasing demand on our phone lines. There has been a mixed reaction from our patients.
The biggest criticism we have received is the length of time it takes for the call to enter the queue to be answered by the Reception team. We have listened to this feedback and have made some changes in order to ensure a more prompt delivery into the queue. We hope that you will find this change a positive one.
We will continue to make changes and respond to feedback.
Finalist in South Wales Argus Health and Care Awards 2017
We are pleased to announce that we were shortlisted for the 'GP Practice of the Year' award. This award is voted for by patients and came as a nice surprise. We attended the event with some of our staff on Thursday 19th October 2017. Although we did not win, to be one of three practices to be shortlisted out of over eighty practices in Gwent - we were very pleased and proud. Thank you to those of you who voted for us.
